Since 1991, ETN has specialized in handling assignments for entertainment industry clients. Our staff is trained and experienced in the movement of these time-sensitive moves for all phases of feature film and television productions, touring ice shows, circuses, sports events, theatrical and musical productions, carnivals and carnival ride manufacturers. In recent years, we have also served several engineering clients.
ETN has handled over 10,000 shipments, delivering everything from sound, lighting, grip and wardrobe trailers to huge sets, mockups, vehicles and aircraft. To date, ETN has served well over 200 film and television productions. We also help plan and coordinate entire tours throughout the United States and Canada, working with a broad range of other clients in need of the specialized attention that entertainment projects require. Major touring shows such as Ice Capades, Walt Disney's World on Ice, Big Apple Circus, Sesame Street Live and many others have used ETN to transfer their shows. Outdoor amusement industry clients rely on ETN to deliver their rides, equipment, concessions and supplies safely and on time while they are on tour. This is one of the original Apollo space capsules used in the filming of the landmark 12-episode HBO series, with an all-star cast and executive-produced by Tom Hanks. ETN was extensively involved in this production, transferring this capsule as well as many other historical items such as a lunar lander, loading gantries, training modules and other items from warehouses and museums all over the country. We also moved sets, props, grip, electric, construction, lighting, camera and other gear. Our services included both standard-specification moves and a large number of oversized, permitted loads requiring specialized handling, routing and traffic control.
Movement of set walls for feature film and television productions
It's one thing to move set walls between studios in sunny California and quite another when they have to be transported to a distant location. The load of set walls pictured here is one of six loads prepared in Los Angeles for transit to Washington DC, and the filming of "The Hollow Man". Using designs suggested by ETN, these were moved across the country without incident. Similar services were provided when the television production "Spin City" relocated from New York City to Los Angeles.
The Big Apple Circus
This non-profit organization, based in New York City, is known for its excellent, intimate approach to circus performing as well as its outreach programs in schools, hospitals and communities. ETN handles their entire U.S. tour, hauling everything from sleeper units and a mobile school house to the bigtop itself. We are involved in the planning and execution of moves of as many as 35 units at a time, all choreographed to a precise schedule. When the Big Apple Circus moves, we don't get much sleep, but we have a lot of fun working with this premier group of entertainers that celebrates their 29th anniversary this year.
Sesame Street Live
When Big Bird and company go on the road to entertain families across the nation, they turn to ETN to get them there. With close coordination with each show and 24 hour availability, ETN provides complete services for all facets of moving these fun shows.
Outdoor amusements and ride manufacturers
Throughout the United States, hundreds of carnival operators of all sizes move their shows between cities. ETN is proud to have worked with some of the best, moving everything from ferris wheels and Gravitrons to bumper cars, concession stands and power units. We also support several of the manufacturers and resellers of these rides. With tighter transportation regulations and increased enforcement, the outdoor amusement industry can count on ETN for qualified, professional drivers already in DOT compliance.
